Legislation for Communications

Communication Act 2015 and Communication Commission Act 2015 were established in 2015 as a licensing and regulation framework to support and oversee national regulations development. Communication Act 2015 establishes powers and functions between the Ministry of Communications and the Regulator and their key roles by assigning procedures and regulations on how to administer the communication services across the country. In overall, key indicators are to be promoted and achieved including consumer interest, efficiency of licensees delivering communication services, ensure health and safety, quality of services and international compatibility of devices and services, fair and sustainable competition, and the pursue of the communications sector policies.
