New Zealand Aid gives water tank to Beulah College

3 October 2012 Thanks to the New Zealand High Commission, Teachers and Students of Beulah College will receive assistance for a water tank.

New Zealand Acting High Commissioner Mr. Peter Shackleton today presented a cheque, for the amount of $3,550 pa'anga to Beulah College Ex-student and Tongatapu 8 Constituency MP, Mr. Sione Havea Taione. The application for assistance had been submitted by Ex-students of 1988-1989, known as ‘To'u Ola.'

"We are very grateful and thankful to the New Zealand Government for all of their assistance and support for our Country. Safe and clean drinking water is essential for both our Teachers and our Students. With the assistance from the New Zealand Aid programme we will be able to give something back to Beulah," said Mr. Taione.

"Beulah College is one of many schools here in Tonga whom we've given assistance towards safe and clean drinking water facilities. We are pleased to offer our support," said Mr. Shackleton.

The assistance by the New Zealand High Commission comes from the New Zealand Government under the Head of Mission Fund.
