“The pioneering work and the founders’ achievements, have paved the road for you. Now it is your turn, your time to make a difference. All the people of Tonga and the region, want to be healthy, parents want all their children to be healthy. You can be successful in your association, but more importantly, we want our people to have easy access to all the services you are providing”.

She also acknowledged the assistance of the President of Pasifika Medical Association (PMA), Dr. Kiki Maoate.

Present in the opening ceremony were the Minister for Health, Hon. Dr Saia Ma’u Piukala, President of the TMA and Pasifika Medical Association Dr. Kiki Maoate, Australian High Commissioner H.E. Mr. Andrew Ford, pioneers of the TMA, interns and guests.
