Police grateful for public's assistance during investigations

11 September 2012 The Police Commissioner Grant O'Fee has made a media statement today to thank  members of the public who have come forward with information that assisted in the Police's investigation into Kali Fungavaka's death.

The Press Statement is as follows:

Police are very grateful to the members of the public of Tonga that have come forward with information to assist in the investigation into the death of Kali Fungavaka.

Police Commissioner Grant O'Fee said today that it is a very painstaking job collating all the  information and cross referencing it to ensure that police are able to give the Solicitor General the best possible information for him to decide on what charges are finally laid in relation to the matter.

The homocide team under the Deputy Commissioner Fa'aoa is still interviewing witnesses and re-interviewing others to gain more detail.
